During the City Council meeting held July 10, 2023, discussion was held regarding the  process of filling the City Council Seat No. 3 vacancy. Council was presented with a memorandum outlining recommendations pertaining to timeline and selection process. Staff was then directed to advertise notice of a vacancy on the City Council and invite qualified candidates to submit applications on or before August 4th, 2023 for consideration by City Council on August 14th, 2023.

Staff received four letters of interest during the application period which are included for Council consideration. The four candidates include:

• Mike Duncan
• Bonnie Flick
• Ken Frink
• Mindi Mulvie Hastings

As previously recommended and noted in the advertisement, Council may request each interested applicant to make a brief presentation to Council prior to reaching a decision by majority vote.
