Requested Motion: Presentation by Karst Underwater Research

This item aims to promote awareness of the existence and importance of the Floridan Aquifer and related spring systems. Karst Underwater Research (KUR) is a non-profit organization specializing in research and documentation of karst aquifers, such as the system that feeds Kings Bay and the Crystal River. Thru underwater cave diving, sometimes miles long, KUR members perform a variety of scientific processes, including mapping and cartography, radio location, photography, videography, YSI water analysis and sampling.
Brett Hemphill is the Director and President of KUR and will present a sample of the research performed by his organization throughout Florida.
