Summary:
At least once every seven (7) years, each local government shall evaluate its Comprehensive Plan to reflect changes in state requirements and update to reflect changes in local conditions. This Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) based amendment serves to update the Transportation (Multi-Modal) Element, the Future Land Use Element, and the Coastal Management Element of the Comprehensive Plan.
On June 3, 2021, the City Planning Commission recommended approval.
This is the transmittal phase of the application. After review by State agencies, this application will be placed back on the City Council’s agenda for final consideration and adoption.
Staff Recommendation:
a) Conduct a public hearing on July 12, 2021, at 5:30 p.m. to consider application PZ21-0066 (Ordinance No. 21-O-06) Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Comprehensive Plan Amendments.
b) Authorize staff to transmit application PZ21-0066 Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) Comprehensive Plan Amendments to the State Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and other State agencies for review pursuant to Florida Statutes.
