Requested Motion: Motion to approve an Interlocal Agreement for Enhanced Law Enforcement Services between the City of Crystal River, the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and Citrus County in the total sum of $1,028,691 for the term of October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022

The City of Crystal River entered into an agreement with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) in January, 2008, for that agency to provide enhanced law enforcement services to the City in lieu of the City continuing to operate its own Police Department, and it is currently up for renewal.
The proposed contract for FY 22, for a total amount of $1,028,691, shows a 3.53% ($35,108) increase from last year’s contract. The overwhelming majority of increase is attributed to operating costs.
Staff Recommendation:
Approval of Interlocal Agreement for Enhanced Law Enforcement Services between the City of Crystal River, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office and Citrus County in the total sum of $1,028,691 for the period beginning October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.
